Jesus said, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; 26 and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?” (John 11:25-26). In this extraordinary story, Jesus promises resurrection (life after death) and eternal life (the resurrection life of God in us) to those who believe in him. Jesus demonstrates both his power and authority to make this promise by raising Lazarus from the dead. As well as giving the assurance of our hope in the resurrection to come, this passage challenges us not to limit the possibilities and power of the Lord Jesus Christ.
