Jesus turning water into wine at the wedding at Cana is his first public miracle and one of his most famous. Why did He do this? As a favour for his mum? To spare a friend embarrassment? Perhaps both! But the miracle is also a signpost that tells us that Jesus’ life brings the promise of something much better and greater than what has gone before.
